The Pod Delusion

The Pod Delusion is a weekly podcast about "interesting things". The show is partnered with the British Humanist Association and has featured interviews with Brian Schmidt, Richard Dawkins, Ben Goldacre, Richard Herring, and Mark Steel.
Production
The Pod Delusion is edited and presented by James O'Malley, with additional editing by assistant editor Liz Lutgendorff. The show, which typically runs for an hour, is broken into a series of monologues and short interviews provided by a panel of amateur contributors. Contributions cover a range of topics, but are typically presented from a pro-science or rationalistic viewpoint. The title is a punning homage to Richard Dawkins's bestselling book The God Delusion, which articulates a similar viewpoint. O'Malley recruited friends from skeptic circles to contribute to the show. Frequent contributors have included Kash Farooq Michael Marshall, Simon Howard, Dean Burnett, Sean Ellis, Drew Rae, Jon Treadway, Crispian Jago, Jennie Rigg, and James Thomas.
Recognition
The show has won awards from , namely the Ockham Award for Best Podcast in 2011 and the Editor's Choice Award the following year.
