The Paternity Test

The Paternity Test is a comedy podcast based upon the parental experiences of three dads. The show is hosted by three former college roommates and theater majors from North Central College: Matt Boresi, Todd Mielcarz and Dave Engel. The podcast has been self-described as being about "three men misdiagnosed with chronic fatherhood". Weekly episodes intend to be about fatherhood and family experiences, but the content often gets sidetracked with humorous discussions about pop culture and current events. Format Engel is the show's announcer, beginning each podcast with a series of subjects to be discussed. Mielcarz serves as the show's host, opening each show. Boresi segues each segment. Advertisements are read by Boresi and incorporated into the show's content as a segments regarding their own purchases. The three speak off the cuff for approximately an hour each week. The show is performed from their respective homes in Montgomery, Illinois; Chicago, and Syracuse, New York. The show typically wraps with a sign-off from Mielcarz; Engel details their social media and contact information and Boresi promotes their weekly Chicago parent article and show.
