Gerald has broken the silence and has written a autobiography of his life's experiences so that others can learn and know that New Jack City is a Hollywood movie, and that gangster life should not be idolized. He says, "that the reality of gangster life is the opposite as to how gangster life was portrayed in the Hollywood movie, 'New Jack City'.
He says that "so many lives have been destroyed and killed trying to walk in the footsteps of pimps, dons and gangsters."
G'Money states that "the facts and the rules of the gangster life are not known." "It is a trap", that so many brothers and sisters have fallen into, and that they can rise up to the divinity of God.
"Am I not my brother's Keeper"? He says that it is time to expose the New Jack Era. He wants the public to know that the movie New Jack City, a fictitious tale that was based on real life and real people. The movie takes place in Harlem during the time of the crack epidemic, birth of Hip Hop, and the days of New York City's Studio 54.
There was a group called CMB which he explains in the book, aka Cash Money Brothers. Nino Brown and G'Money do exist. They are two of the main characters in the movie. They did run the streets and used all kinds of drugs in the 90s. He states "my tale is not an easy one to tell".
