The Candy Twins

The Candy Twins are an English indie pop band, who cite influences from a wide range of artists, including Neil Young, Orange Juice and The Wedding Present.
Their notable songs include a tribute to Edwyn Collins, after Collins' serious illness and subsequent return to performing in 2007, and a celebration of 80's Hull City football hero Billy Whitehurst.
Their 2008 self-released EP Dance Me to Heaven contained the track "A Younger Crowd" which gained recognition when it was reviewed by The Sun as one of their "Hot Tracks of the Week" with a 4/5 rating.
The band appeared at the Indietracks Festival in Butterley, Derbyshire in July 2008. The Candy Twins released Sad Glad Songs, a 4-track CD-R, on Lostmusic Records in February 2009.
In December 2010 the band announced on their Myspace page they were on an indefinite hiatus, with frontman David Young starting a new indiepop project with bassist Mat Durrance and Swedish singer Maria Caroli.
