Sean Terrington Wright

Sean Terrington (born 18 June 1959) is a British songwriter, singer, guitarist, record producer, artist, writer, and poet. He has collaborated with Kim Fowley, Najam Sheraz, Mark Linkous, Mark Tinley, Enrico Coniglio, Yvalian, Josh Woodward, & many indie artists. Influenced by everything from 70's British Pop to 60's Folk, Terrington has released over 100 independent albums, published 12 novels, created over 1000 paintings, and is an early pioneer of free music and key influence in cassette culture with a DIY ethic. In April 2007 he began a project to release a new album every month. He achieved his goal, to release an album-a-month for fifty months, in May 2011, probably making Terrington the most prolific songwriter in the shortest time span. His work is in the Creative Commons domain, and is an Open Source media, used, re-used, re-mixed, distributed and downloaded by other internet users.
Biography
Terrington's earliest release was his 1976 seminal lo-fi music debut cassette album Carcass.
In 1978 Terrington's released a power pop single, "Strange Situation", (recorded at Spaceward Studios) on the Ellie Jay Record label. Wright's songs "Strange Situation" and "Silent Dreams" have appeared on BBC Radio 1 on the John Peel Show and the David Jensen Show in the later 70s and early 80s. In 1979, Max Bell of the NME dubbed Terrington, " a talented DIY artist worth popularizing." Michael Verity of MP3.com called Terrington, "Bob Dylan with a countrified growl."
His 1982 Power pop/ Heavy metal band, International Heroes, were credited in The Encyclopedia of New Wave British Heavy Metal as a forerunner of the so-called power pop movement. He toured the UK as the lead vocalist of International Heroes during 1982 and 1983. The band were supported by Marillion.
In 1986, his original songs were published by Peer Music, London. He co-wrote with David Maile and Hollywood producer, Kim Fowley, who had recorded the Number 1 sixties hit, "Nut Rocker" by B. Bumble and the Stingers. Almost twenty years later, in 2005, one of the tracks from the Denmark Street sessions - "Summer Of Rock And Roll" (Maile/Wright) was played on the BBC's Xchange programme.
Sean Terrington co-wrote an album's worth of songs with Asian pop-icon Najam Sheraz in November/December 2007 in his lo-fi studio StaticJack, King's Lynn, Norfolk, England. He co-wrote songs with Mark Linkous during 2007 & 2008 via the internet. In February 2011 he produced cult accapoustic band, Jessie's Ghost, at his StaticJack Studio.
In April 2007, Wright embarked on his "album-a-month project", writing, recording, producing, and releasing physical CDs via CD Baby and mp3 album downloads via Last FM. In August 2007, Terrington began pre-production work with sound engineer and producer Mark Tinley for his final album, War No More in the album-a-month project. Production began in January 2008, with the album's release in March 2008. However, Terrington continued his album-a-month project.
During 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 he continued to collaborate via the internet with many indie musicians, including those at FAWM, gaining more internet press. He also began co-writing songs with the successful Nashville lyricist, David L Graham (King Of The Hill, My Name Is Earl,TNT's Saving Grace).
