TextTwist (commonly misspelled as Text Twist) is a browser-based puzzle game, written in Java, in which the player is given a set of six letters and must form as many words as possible with those letters. If the player is able to guess the six letter word or words before the time limit expires, that player will move on to the next round. Guessing all possible words in a set of letters will result in bonus points. The game increases in difficulty somewhat as the player progresses. Another version, Super TextTwist, is available for a fee. It is a standalone (non-web) computer game and includes both six and seven-letter sets. There are two versions of the game. The more difficult, competitive one is "Action-Timed". Those interested in a more leisurely playing experience would prefer the untimed version. |
