Terrance G. Stringer (born June 28, 1985 in ) is an American football safety who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the New York Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football at Tuskegee University. Early years Stringer attended Smiths Station High School in Smiths Station, Alabama. He was a two-sport star athlete in both football and baseball. Combining his Junior and Senior years, Stringer passed for over 1,500 yards and ran for another 400 yards including 12 total touchdowns. He was an All Bi-City Selection for the surrounding Alabama/Georgia high schools. In baseball, Stringer was a dynamic pitcher/centerfielder with a live arm and great speed. Stringer is the first male athlete to sign a NFL professional football contract out of Smiths Station High School. College career Stringer started his career as a redshirt freshman during the 2004 season for the Tuskegee University Golden Tigers, under head coach Rick Comegy. In his freshman season, he passed for 65 yards, including 121 yards on the ground. In his 2005 sophomore season, Stringer was moved to safety due to shoulder problems and his athletic ability. During the 2006 and 2007 Tuskegee Golden Tigers football season, Stringer led the secondary in tackles with 127. He also had 3 intercetions, 11 pass break-ups, 1 blocked field goal, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries, one for which he returned 51 yards. Stringer finished with a 43-5 W-L record at Tuskegee obtaining 2 SIAC championships and 4 Pioneer Bowl victories. He was named team captain his senior year in which Tuskegee finished 12-0 and won the Black college football national championship. Stringer was named to the SIAC All Defensive Team honors. Stringer soon after became the Superior Sports Network HBCU-Promo model. Professional career New York Giants Though he entered the 2008 NFL Draft, Stringer went undrafted. On May 12, 2008, Stringer signed a contract with the New York Giants. He followed another former Tuskegee great in Frank Walker who was drafted by the Giants in 2003. Stringer also co-owns an entertainment label called MajorGlow Entertainment.
