Telephone pictionary

Telephone Pictionary
Telephone is a fun party game that combines the idea of telephone and pictionary. It is best played by at least 6 people.
Game Prep: Prepare one small sheet of paper per player, for each player (i.e. if you have 9 players, each player needs 9 sheets of paper.) Something the size of an index card works well. (Or actual 3x5 inch index cards). Each player should have a pen or pencil.
The Game: Have each player number their cards in one of the corners in case someone accidentally drops the stack of cards. Have each player write a sentence (you can have a common theme or be random) on their card. Do not share your sentence with other people. (Example: “Captain Hook and Peter Pan fighting” or “3 Penguins riding in a hot air balloon” or “Little House on the Prairie”)
Once everyone has written their sentence, everyone passes their ENTIRE stack of cards to the right. Each player will read (privately) the sentence on the card and place the card on the bottom of the stack. Then each player will DRAW/illustrate the sentence that they just read on the card.
Once everyone is done illustrating, everyone passes the ENTIRE stack of cards again to the person on their right. Now everyone should be looking at a drawing on the top of their stack of paper/cards. Examine the picture and then place it at the BOTTOM of the stack of cards. Write a sentence to describe the picture/theme.
Once everyone is done writing, pass the ENTIRE stack of cards to the person to their right. Continue alternating between drawing and writing until your original stack of cards returns to you.
Enjoy reading the original sentence/theme and the pictures and additional ideas that came about as the cards got passed around the circle. Often even the easiest theme can get easily warped into something very different (example: Noah’s ark becomes a space ship, etc.) based on how people interpret the drawings and sentences.
This is a really fun game for all ages.
