Syed Arshad Hussain

Syed Arshad Hussain is an Indian Physicist (b. 1975). He is working as an Assistant Professor at Tripura University (A Central University) since 2004. Formerly he was a member of Centre for Surface Science and Catalysis at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. His area of research interests are ultra-thin films e.g. Langmuir-Blodgett film, Self-assembly at air-water interface and ultra-thin films.
He has assembled single stranded DNA onto solid substrate. For his work on "Organo-Clay Hybrid films" he has awarded "Young Scientist Research Award by , Government of India.
Hussain has been awarded [http://tscst.nic.in/Awardee-3.htm "Sir J C Bose Award - 2008-09"] for his contribution in the field of Material Science and Spectroscopy by Tripura State Council of Science and Technology, Govt. of Tripura, India.
Hussain has been awarded "Rasthriya Vidhya Samman Puruskar", on 26 th August, 2012 at New Delhi. His name has been nominated by "Economic Growth Society of India" for this award.
