File:Super_G.jpgSuper G. is a dance music project by Gibson Teo, a teen from Singapore. Born on 4th October 1993, Gibson is one of the youngest producers in Asia, specializing in electronic dance music in the likes of Trance, Hands Up, Hardstyle, Electro and Dubstep. He has various successful projects under other aliases of GibT, GIBbous Project, GIBcada, GIBnian, Super G. and his latest hardstyle project Raveteq. Gibson fell in love with EDM when he first heard this genre on the radio in around 2003. He had brilliant ideas in mind for his own songs but he never had the chance to showcase it. When he first got his hands on a decent computer, Gibson tried simple edits and speedups of songs on freeware programs like Wavepad. He got bored and after awhile he moved on to the real stuff. In 2006, Gibson joined dance forum EuroAdrenaline and it was the members there where he acquired most of his skills from. He had nothing but a desktop computer running on a slow processor and a few simple synths and samples. Things started slowly for this young man with his first few remixes rejected in remix competitions, both official and unofficial. But nevertheless the self-learned producer persevered and released his first single "GibT - All Around (E.P. Incl. DiscoBastardz Vs. Tim B. Remix)" in mid 2008 (when he was just 15!) It received alot of positive feedback from the dance music community worldwide for the impressively creative tune, which was later stolen by some producers for their own songs. That was when members started to notice him as a potential. By then, things were going great for him. He released "GibT - Merry X'Mas" at the end of 2008 as part of an unofficial Christmas Dance compilation release on the forum called EA Pres. X-Mass 2008. Once again it was a massive hit in the community with most favouriting his tune and riffs. TUNE! Recordings had offered to sign this track on their label but it was eventually returned with empty promises. In early 2009, Gibson started a for-fun Cascada/Manian style copycat project under the name of GIBnian and GIBcada. Never did he ever expect that it would shoot him to fame! His first GIBcada project was a remix of Leona Lewis's Bleeding Love.Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love (GIBcada Special Dance Video Edit) It appealed to many people including those who hated or had never listened to Hands Up before. It already received few thousand downloads on just one website within just a few days of spreading. Just then in around April, a friend of his requested for a remix of his trance single, "DJ Nard - Guilty". It was Gibson's first official track. He continued working hard and improving on his "Cascada style" projects. By the end of 2009, it was no doubt that GIBcada/GIBnian was a success, with his remix of Modern Talking's classic Brother Louie being another hit. Meanwhile, he still produces in his own style under the aliases of GibT etc. Gibson released his first track under the Super G. branding "Super G. - Everybody Sings! (Do Dah)", inspired by the Camptown ladies classic. This caught the attention of a few labels including Port au Trance Records, EQMusic Singapore and Andorfine Germany. Owner of Andorfine Germany was DJ Central Seven, a renowned artiste in the dance music scene. He requested for a remix of his upcoming single which is yet to be announced, "Central Seven F.T. TBA - TBA (Super G. Remix)". In 2010, Gibson first tried hardstyle under alias Raveteq (Rave-tech). He remade a classical piece by Beethoven, "Raveteq Vs. Super G. - Pathetique (1st Mov) (Hardstyle Mix)". As his first try, it did not receive as much "wow" as his Hands Up tracks. By the end of 2010, Gibson has seen many remix requests and people wanting to work with him including DJ THT, who wants to produce a remix with him. Finally, after all of the resounding GIBcada success, Gibson decided to shift his focus on the Cascada style and producing it under the name Super G.. He made a single to be released on Redlight-Media Germany in the Tune Up! style, "Super G. - Free". The label has also asked him to work on a remix for Simon Wilder's latest single. However, he was recently quoted as saying on a forum, "Dont think i will be doing any original stuff this year cos i really dont think i have any time. Haha."
