I have a masters in political science. I have been a great admirer of Mrs.Nandini Satpathy and the progresive work which she had immplemented in Orissa in the 1970s.  
 
I am aware of the social work Mr. Suparno Satpathy has undertaken and I admire him for standing up for the cause of women and in perticular for the cause of female foeticide. 
 
Wish him all the best.Please keep it up.

The politicians in India needs a revamp and what best than young, educated & successful people taking up to politics. India needs a fresh set of politicians. Keep the good work up Mr.Satpathy and stay away from corruption. Hope Orissa albeit India benefits with your ledership.

Since my college days in the early 1970s I have been a great admirer of Mrs. Nandini Satpathy. Then she was the Minister attached to PM & later the CM of Orissa.I am glad that her grandson Mr.Suparno Satpathy followed her footsteps,he has taken on to politics & to social work.My only suggestion to him would be to give in full commitment. India has great expectation from its young politicians like Suparno Satpathy from Orissa,Sachin Pilot from Rajastan, Rahul Gandhi from UP,Jyotiraditya Scindia from MP, Priya Dutt from Maharashtra, Omar Abdulla from J&K etc.All the said have two things in common ,one they are all able youngsters and second their families have traditionally been great contributors for nation building in India.

It is encouraging to learn that a young and a dedicated nationally awarded social activist like Mr. Suparno Satpathy has joined politics. It’s like a breath of fresh air in the highly polluted Indian politics. Orissa political circle needs more people like him to bring about a change. I left Orissa for USA ,some 17 years back, ever since ,other than one or two roads, two-three highly polluting industries and of course the most ill planed Biju Patnaik airport there has been no major change in Orissa (Oh ! how could I forget the spelling change from Orissa to Odisha ). It is high time for Orissa to develop into the most flourishing state of India. Orissa has all the potential and now with young leaders like Mr.Suparno Satpathy in Orissa politics I see a light of hope. I pray and hope for the best for my beloved Orissa. Jai Jaganath !

Today I was browsing the internet to learn about ‘Young Turks’ of India and by chance I reached this page. It was good to learn a bit more about Mr.Suparno Satpathy. Long back I had read an article by him which had been published in The New Indian Express ‘Ethics in politics is the need of time'. I must say the young gentleman had impressed me but I had no public domain to appreciate or applauded the said article then. I use this comment box for the same.

I have been following the news of Shri.Suparno Satpathy. I have friends in Dhenkanal and I am told, if the Congress would have put up Suparno Satpathy as their MP candidate in this 2009 elections he would certainly have won from there. The women & youth mass are his strong support base. I suggest he should ignore the loss, look beyond and keep the good work up. It will be better if the address of Shri. Suparno Satpathy could be provided here.

I remember Suparno Satpathy as a little child tagging the most dynamic and fearless Chief Ministers of Indian history 'Nandini Satpathy'. I am talking of a time twenty nine years back from year 2009. I distinctly remember how Nandini Ji used to dole all her affections on her grandson ‘Suparno’. ‘ Late Nandini ji’ has been a source of inspiration for many and I am one of them. Today, I am very happy and proud to see little Suparno turn into a fine young man. I am even happier that he is fabulously carrying on the tradition of service that his legendary family has rendered for Orissa and Oriyas.

The congress party is the only party which connects with the masses. Yes, a few mistakes are committed by few Congress party members but the party soon rectifies the same. Mr. Suparno Satpathy has not been forgotten by the Congress and neither will Orissa forget him. Mr. Satpathy has a bright future in politics. Most importantly -good well meaning politicians are never sidelined. Yes,OK Naveen babu ‘Zindabad’ and at the same time Suparno babu ‘Zindabad’.

I was searching for the contact details of Mr. Suparno and I came across this page. This page only reflects a fraction about Mr. Suparno Satpathy. His good work is a ocean and this page only talks of a drop out of it. Congress is completely disconnected from the youth. It only talks of bringing the youth into politics but never does so. Otherwise why would people like Suparno Satpathy be on the sideline and corrupt old timers be placed in the fore front? The current congress team in Odisha needs to involve young / dynamic/charismatic people like Suparno, project a clean image an then think of fighting Naveen Patnaik. Otherwise it is impossible for the Congress to dislodge the BJD rule.

Nandini Satpathy was not tolerated due to her straight forward, open and honest approach politics. She was loved by the masses but the clasees rejected her. Suparno Satpathy is following her teachings. He too in a similar manner will not be tolerated by the crooked political class. In Odia there is a saying -Denga Munda re thenga- meaning Tall personalities get their heads smashed. 
 
If my wish was to come true, I will wish that Suparno Satpathy and his type of personalities come up in politics so that our country is lead from the front.
