Stockholm Internet eXchange is an Stockholm-based Internet exchange point operator. Founded in late 2005 and with the first joining ISPs in December 2006, the organization is non-profit and independent. Currently there are more than 60 active members of STHIX. STHIX is based on Ethernet technology and currently offers connection speeds of 100Mbit/s (FE), 1000Mbit/s (GE) and 10000Mbit/s (TE). STHIX provides peering for both the IPv4 and IPv6 internet protocols, currently STHIX only supports MTU 1500 peering. STHIX is a distributed Internet exchange point, currently present at eight data-centers in the Stockholm area, with its core nodes located at Stokab's KN7 and Telecity's Bromma facility.
