Steve Keith is a Maryland-based folk musician, a singer-songwriter who also plays the guitar, fiddle and harmonica. He is originally from New Castle Island in New Hampshire, but spends his summers in the Tidewater Area of Virginia and his winters in New Orleans, where he is known as "Curly". Keith has worked with performers as varied as Steve Young, Guy Clark, Jimmie Martin, Leon Russell, Jerry Jeff Walker, Tracy Nelson, Willie Nelson, Townes Van Zandt and Waylon Jennings. Keith began his solo career in the 1990s, and has released three albums, Fresh Fish, Little Hinkley Yawl and All Kinds. Keith also played banjo with the bluegrass band "Bubba and Them" in Perdido Key, Florida in the late 90's. Since 2010, after leaving New Orleans, Steve has been living in Nova Scotia during the summer months. There, he has found an uncommonly active music scene, now featuring his concerts on a regular basis. Steve has found some excellent recording musicians in Halifax where he recorded the first of his New Orleans-style blues, "Take Me Down to the Mardi Gras"
