Step in My Shoes

Step In My Shoes is the third studio album by American Christian Rock band David and the Giants. It was released in 1979, independently under the label Song of Songs.
The album went out of print years ago, but some rare LP copies and cassettes can be seen circulated on Ebay and other sites. The album was never issued on CD.
At the time, the band had been mixing their Christian lyrics with a high, quick pop beat. This was shown on their first two albums, Song Of Songs and '. Instead, this album contained no "up-tempo" beats, except for a few songs including "He's Got The World In His Hands" and "".
The album also contained a rare track, "The End Of Time". The song was written by pianist Gerald Hagan, (who also wrote "Noah" from their last album), and Hagan also led the vocals on the songs. The song "Step In My Shoes" can slightly be seen played at reunion concerts sometimes. "If You Ain't Living For Jesus" is also another popular tune from the album.
Shortly after the album was released, they began their new style, a more rock-type sound, which was shown on their fourth release, Almost Midnight. It was also shown on Heaven Or Hell.

Trivia
*The band's first five albums were released independently. Therefore, to re-release some of their unheard songs to the public on Giant Records later, they would re-record a few of the songs from their first five albums to release them again. This is the only album that does not contain a song that was later released.
*The song "The End Of Time" is the only song to not contain vocals by David Huff.
*The album was the band's last album of the decade.
*On the song "Israel", a special hidden track takes up the last minute of the song. Once the song has faded out, and is almost over, the song begins again, this time with a faster beat and the repeated line "La la la la" until the song is over.
