SteffComedy was created by Icelandic/Cuban musician Stony Blyden. SteffComedy specializes in creating music videos from various internet clips, such as Collegehumor's Jake and Amir, Hardly Working and more. Early Life Stony was born in 1993. He started drumming at a young age and has been playing the drums since the age of 9. He started learning in the musical school of Iceland. Stony soon developed a passion for using various internet clips to make new and genre bending music. In 2009 he started uploading his songs to his YouTube account, SteffComedy. Soon, SteffComedy started gaining a mass following and thousands of views on YouTube. Career Stony has been very active as a solo artist; making drum covers of popular songs and uploading them to his YouTube account - "Stony's World", while also remaining active creating comedic music videos for his SteffComedy project. He has been affiliated with a wide variety of bands in Iceland and New York. Most notably the band Buxnaskjónar who played at Iceland Airwaves 2010, and the band Tyrfingur who won the 2010 Icelandic Viðarstaukur Awards (IVA's). Stony also won the award for "Best Musician" at the IVA's. Personal Life Stony developed a close and bonding relationship with his fans in the early stages of his video and song making which he has held to this day. He regularly answers his fans requests and takes their suggestions of new videos into account when deciding material for new videos. When asked if he had anticipated the huge following SteffComedy received, Stony commented: "Absolutely not, i’m still in a semi-shock. I find it so awesome that people enjoy the stuff that I’m creating and I’m thankful for every single subscriber I get."
