South Coast Express is a proposed intercity railway service serving the North West, West Midlands and south coast of England. There are two hourly services planned: One from Manchester Piccadilly to Brighton, and one from Liverpool Lime Street to Weymouth. It is desired that the new services would form part of a new Cross Country franchise.
