South Coast Express

South Coast Express is a proposed intercity railway service serving the North West, West Midlands and south coast of England. There are two hourly services planned: One from Manchester Piccadilly to Brighton, and one from Liverpool Lime Street to Weymouth. It is desired that the new services would form part of a new Cross Country franchise. Proposed Services The two services would operate using the following calling patterns: Manchester to Brighton Manchester Piccadilly Stockport Stoke-on-Trent Wolverhampton Birmingham New Street Birmingham International Coventry Milton Keynes Central Luton Watford Junction Clapham Junction East Croydon Gatwick Airport Three Bridges Haywards Heath Brighton Liverpool to Weymouth Liverpool Lime Street Runcorn Crewe Wolverhampton Birmingham New Street Birmingham International Coventry Milton Keynes Central Luton Slough Reading Basingstoke Winchester Southampton Central Brockenhurst Bournemouth Poole Dorchester South Weymouth See Also
