Solihull Rifle and Pistol Club

The Solihull Rifle and Pistol Club was established in 1944 as the Solihull Home Guard Rifle Club and granted Miniature Rifle Range status by the War Department in the same year. It became affiliated with the Society of Miniature Rifle Clubs in 1945. The Club was re-sited at Field Lane, Solihull, West Midlands in 1952 on land donated to the club by the notable architect Harry Weedon. The club subsequently changed its name to Solihull Rifle And Pistol Club and was granted 'Miniature Rifle Range' status under the Firearms Act 1968. The club still operates today and is affiliated to the National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA), the Warwickshire Smallbore Rifle and Pistol Association (Solihull was previously part of the county of Warwickshire) and is Home Office-approved.
