Ben Bartlett is an association football coach and former semi-professional football player, currently employed by The Football Association - since October 2007. He holds the FA/UEFA A Licence, Youth Coaches Licence and coach educates on UEFA B and Youth Coaches licences. Chelsea Bartlett previously headed up Chelsea FC's women's and girls football programme, designing and implementing the blueprint which established the Club as one of the leading women's football clubs in England. The Club went on to secure The FA Centre of Excellence Youth League, FA Women's Reserve League, DANA Cup and a top four finish in . The Club's International representation also grew under Bartlett with 22 players representing at Youth and Senior level. The Football Association In his role at The Football Association, Bartlett has implemented and delivered the innovative FA Youth Award programme,developed the FA's coach education workforce, contributed to the FA Licensed Coaches programme, coached within U15 programme and designed and authored a range of articles and resources. Colchester United Bartlett commenced his coaching career at Colchester United, coaching within The Centre of Excellence, successfully licensing and establishing The Club as one of the first 20 Female 'Centre of Excellence' programmes in England and managing the Colchester United Community Sports Trust, one of the first Clubs in England to establish their Community arm as a registered charity. He created a full-time Female Academy programme for elite players aged 16-19. which received national recognition for it's unique blend of further education and elite football development, which was funded, in part, by The Football Foundation. This laid the foundations for Colchester United Ladies FC whom went onto promotion to The FA Women's National League. Coaching reference More recently, he has produced and launched a football coaching website Integrity Soccer, providing a range of football coaching resources for youth coaches and been featured in articles for the globally published Soccer Coaching International magazine and the on-line TotalFootballMag.com. Playing career Following a youth career with Colchester United, Bartlett was released and subsequently played 274 times for Witham Town in the Ryman League, where he established himself as club captain.
