Skyway Enterprises Flight 7101

On the 29 October 2014, Skyway Enterprises Flight 7101, a cargo flight from Saint Martin to San Juan, Puerto Rico operated by an Short 360, crashed into the sea shortly after take off killing all two crew on board.
Aircraft
The aircraft involved in the accident was a Short Brothers 360-200 built in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which was 30 years old. The aircraft used Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 turboprop engines. The aircraft was delivered to Simmons Airlines in 1984 and had several minor incidents. The aircraft operated for American Eagle Airlines from 1993 till 1994. In 1998 the aircraft began operations for Skyway Enterprises.
Accident
Skyway Enterprises Flight 7101 was operating a cargo flight on behalf of Fedex. The aircraft took off from runway 27. Thirty seconds after take off Flight 7101 was at 500 feet, when air traffic control gave an instruction to change heading to 230 degrees. Shortly thereafter the aircraft crashed into the sea just 1.5 km from Saint Martin. During the recovery one of the pilots was found dead and the other is still reported as missing.
Investigation
There are no reports as of the 30 October 2014 that the crash in under investigation.
