Merpati Nusantara Airlines Flight 6517 was a scheduled Indonesian domestic passenger flight, operated by Merpati Nusantara Airlines from Bajawa Soa Airport to Kupang's El Tari Airport. On 10 June 2013, the Xian MA60 operating the flight landed at its destination short of the runway and was damaged beyond repair. Of the 50 people on board, as many as eight were reported to have been injured. Aircraft The accident aircraft was Xian MA60 PK-MZO, 0608. The aircraft had first flown in 2010. Accident The aircraft was operating a domestic scheduled passenger flight from Soa Airport, Bajawa to El Tari Airport, Kupang, Indonesia. They were taken to an Indonesian Air Force hospital nearby. |
