SAS Flight 910

On the 20th of June, Scandinavian Airlines Flight SK910 was forced to divert to Bangor, Maine after smoke became visible in the Airbus A330. The flight was flying from Newark, New Jersey to Copenhagen. The flight rose to FL290 (29,000ft) when the pilots decided to divert to Bangor Airport, the airline stated that all 272 passengers and crew were unharmed and taken to hotels. The Airbus performed a localiser approach to Runway 33 at Bangor 18 minutes after the smoke was initially reported and after landing and vacating the runway the crew reported everything was back to normal, the passengers disembarked the Airbus and were taken to hotels. The aircraft was then inspected and returned to service.

The aircraft involved was an Airbus A330-300 registered SE-REF, it is currently in the livery of Star Alliance.
Incident
Flight 910 was en-route to Copenhagen at FL290, when smoke was reported in the cabin. The aircraft performed a localised approach to Bangor and after descending from FL290, the smoke cleared, and the aircraft landed shortly afterward.
