Sir Ralf of Bracebridge

Sir Ralf of Bracebridge (975-?) was an English Middle Age Knight, and the earliest known member of the Kingsbury Family.

Life
Sir Ralf of Bracebridge was born in 975 in Bracebridge Heath, Lincolnshire, England, to unknown parents. Sir Ralf was apparently a political leader in the area, and it seems the family had something to do with maintaining a bridge over the River Witham. Apparently from very ancient times, this bridge over the River was a very important part of the area, as it was a major crossing of the river and the proper maintenance would have been a large responsibility. Because of this, the Bracebridge Manor most likely had a large impact on the economy of the area.

Family
Little is known about Sir Ralf, other than that he was an influential member of Medieval Bracebridge Heath. "Kingsbury Hall, The Genealogy of a Family" (see references) lists Sir Ralf as a brother of Leofric, Earl of Mercia, and so, Brother-in-law of Lady Godiva. However, this has not been confirmed, and there is no evidence of this other than this book.
