Bit-beast

A Bit-beast is a fictional entity from the Beyblade anime series. Bit-beasts resemble real or mythical creatures, and have special powers based around one element (i.e. fire, lightning, water, wind, earth, etc), which are usually used to the advantage of their user or the disadvantage of their opponent in a Beybattle.

Bio
Many people throughout the ages have believed that there are sacred spirits that lend them strength and protect them from harm. There have been two prophecies concerning bit-beasts according to the anime, which are:

: "And the Leader Shall Arise a user of two of those who are reborn, and he shalt have the power to see the future, and under him we shalt unite, all those who art chosen by the sacred spirits, and darkness will be overthrown, for the user, of the ever-seeing phoenix, shall lead the light to victory."
:"People even now are researching on bit-beasts, attempting to find the portal to the world of those spirits. If they succeed, the world as we know it shall probably come to an end. But no substantial proof has come that they have been found."(Most likely not true.)
In the Japanese version of the anime, the bit-beasts have names such as Suzaku or Seyryuu, usually names linked to spirits or other divinities.

In the English dub, they're tagged with names such as Dranzer and Dragoon; each teams' bladers' bit-beasts have a kind of theme with their names. (Ex. Bladebreakers- Dragoon, Dranzer, Draciel, Driger; All-Starz- Trygle, Trygator, Tryhorn, Trypio)

There are some occasions where a Bit-beast can be destroyed.
