Shakaya
In 2001, Stacey performed at a showcase at Sony Music Entertainment in Sydney, Australia, after which she was immediately signed with them along with fellow singer-songwriter Naomi Wenitong, whom she had met while studying at the Atsic Music College in 1999. She was signed on with Sony Music along with Wenitong following their performance and the group Shakaya was formed.
Their debut single "Stop Calling Me" was released in January 2002 and was Shakaya's biggest hit - it was heavily based on the life experiences of Stacey, Wenitong and many of their friends.
