Simon Høegmark is a Danish researcher, author, and lecturer specializing in nature-based health promotion and environmental psychology. Education Høegmark is educated as a teacher, nature guide, outdoor guide and a master's degree in natural science, a master's degree in sports and health, and a PhD in naturepsychology from the Department of Psychology at the University of Southern Denmark. Career Høegmark is the director and co-owner of the company ViNatur, which specializes in nature-based health promotion. He has a background as a teacher, nature guide, outdoor guide and a master's degree in natural science. He has worked for many years as a manager at the natural history museum Naturama in Svendborg and at the Fjord & Bælt Center in Kerteminde in Denmark. He works daily with regenerative management and natural psychology in the field of tension between health, nature, regenerative thinking and sustainability. Høegmark is the author of the book We are nature - rediscover and feel nature's healing powers. and of the book " In pact with nature - a scientific journey into a magical universe". In his research, Høegmark has explored the impact of nature-based rehabilitation programs, particularly for men experiencing life crises. His work emphasizes the therapeutic potential of nature in addressing mental health challenges. He has developed the NBMC method, which stands for Nature, Body, Mind, and Community, aiming to enhance physical and mental health through nature-based interventions. This method has been implemented in various Danish municipalities and organizations to improve well-being and social cohesion.
