Sid Solomon

Sid Solomon is an American dentist and inventor.
Early life
Solomon was born in Tehran, Iran on April 25, 1963. He emigrated to the United States at age 14. His father died of cancer while working on an invention in plastics two years after Solomon left Iran. Solomon attended high school in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Education
Solomon attended UCLA, where he majored in psychobiology. He received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific, San Francisco in 1988. He then went on to study Neuromuscular Dentistry at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies.
Career
Solomon established his first dental office in West Los Angeles in 1988, where he continues to practice general, cosmetic and neuromuscular dentistry. He has offices in West Hills and Westlake, California. His focus is temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ). Solomon has appeared on several news channels, in magazine articles, and on the television show The Doctors, talking about TMJ.
Solomon wrote an autobiographical book, Dream Big Smile Big, in 2012.
Invention
Solomon incorporated Botox into his practice for the treatment of TMJ symptoms of the face, head and neck in 2010. Thereafter, he invented UniTox, the first specialty disposable syringe FDA-approved for use with Botox. UniTox is based on a 2.5 dilution method, and was approved by the FDA in 2013. Unitox was launched at The Aesthetics Show In Las Vegas, Nevada on July 9-13, 2014. UniTox received national press attention.
