Shortfall was a Canadian indie rock band formed in Toronto in 1994. The band consisted of Rick Burns (Vocals, Guitar), Mitch Cruickshank (Drums), Warren Gregson (Guitar, Vocals) and Dylan Parker (Bass). They are best known for their debut album "Hooray For Everything", which was released on the now defunct Squirtgun Records in 1995, as well as the music video for their single "Drive", which aired on Much Music. The band has played numerous shows at many famous Toronto locations, including the Horseshoe Tavern and El Mocambo. They appeared as musical guests in the first season of the Canadian program The Tom Green Show. Their song "Drive" was featured on the Squirtgun Record's compilation album (1996), and their song "So I Wait" was featured on the CFNY-FM "1998 New Rock Search" compilation album. A second album, "It's a Miserable Life", was recorded in 1997, but didn't see a full release until years later. Shortfall eventually broke up in late 1998.
