Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives

Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives are an American indie rock band that formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1992. The band is composed of four former MIT students. Dan Schmidt is the lead singer, Greg Huang plays the bass guitar, Chris Rigopulos plays guitar and Bill Foster plays drums.
History
The band can be traced back to 1990, when the band Dr LÜst and the Chiefs of the European Space Agency entered the MIT Battle of the Bands. Some of the songs written for this band can be found on the albums published by Honest Bob and the Factory-to-Dealer Incentives.
When much of the original Dr LÜst and the Chiefs of the European Space Agency graduated, a new band was formed with some of the original members. The guys in Honest Bob played their first gig on the Battle of the Bands in 1992, and won.
Musical style
Honest Bob plays indie rock, but their songs can vary a lot in pace, themes, and composition. Their music is often fast-paced, happy and humorous, but there are numerous exceptions. Many songs are about love, like "I Get By" and “All of the Cool Girls”, while other songs can be tribute songs or songs with themes from Star Wars.
The band has covered songs from other indie bands, like The Breeders, and has written their own tribute songs to Kim Deal and Laurie Anderson.
Discography
The band has written more than 70 songs, but didn't release any albums before year 2000, eight years after their formation. The first album is an EP, the other two are full-length albums.
