Shelby Fix

Shelby Fix (born March 14, 1992 in Williamsville, New York) is an American media personality. She is best known as the "Teen Car Coach" and now "Car Coach 2.0", and is an advocate in the education of teen and newly qualified drivers with regard to car safety. Shelby is the daughter of the American racecar driver Paul Fix II, and the former racing driver turned TV and media personality Lauren Fix. Shelby was named in honour of the American automotive designer, racing driver and entrepreneur Carroll Shelby. Her brother is the actor Paul Fix III.
Early life
Shelby spent her early life involved in automobiles and various forms of racing, influenced by her parents. She was racing go-karts from the age of eight, and it was expected that she would become a racing driver, following in the footsteps of her parents. She was a national Cadet go-kart champion and captain of her high school golf team. Shelby graduated from Buffalo Seminary in 2010. She currently attends Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Career
In February 2010, Shelby appeared on WLS-TV in Chicago, Illinois to give tips to new, teenage drivers for driving during the winter months.
In the summer of 2010 Shelby travelled throughout California along with her mother on behalf of the automobile service center company Midas, as part of a campaign to advise young drivers on how to look after their cars, and themselves whilst driving. In August Shelby was featured on KXTV's "Sacremento & Co" on behalf of the campaign.
In 2006, Shelby was named as an expert in www.expertclick.com's "Yearbook of Experts".
In 2012, Shelby was one of the award presenters of the Urban Wheel Awards, in Detroit.
In December 2012 Shelby appeared on The Weather Channel, giving teen drivers advice on how to care for their tires during cold weather.
In 2012 -2013, Shelby was appointed one of the judges for that year's AOL Autos Automotive Technology of the Year Award.
