Shaun Golden

Shaun Golden (born circa 1967) is an American Republican Party politician currently serving as sheriff of Monmouth County, New Jersey.
Background
Golden is a lifelong resident of Monmouth County where he attended St. John Vianney High School, and Monmouth University. He holds a master’s degree in administration from Seton Hall University. He has been a resident of Farmingdale.
He was a police officer for 18 years, beginning with the Colts Neck Township Police Department, later serving on the Toms River Police Department. Golden worked as a paramedic in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, and was a volunteer firefighter for Colts Neck as well as an Emergency Medical Technician. Golden is a New Jersey Certified Public Manager and an adjunct professor at Monmouth University in the Department of Political Science and Public Policy.
Prior to his accession as sheriff, Golden served as undersheriff for Sheriff Kim Guadagno, overseeing the Monmouth County Regional 9-1-1 Communications Center. After being elected as New Jersey's first lieutenant governor, Guadagno designated Golden as acting sheriff; he was later nominated to the balance of Guadagno's term as sheriff by Governor Chris Christie and was confirmed by the New Jersey Senate.
Om November 2, 2010 Shaun Golden was elected to a full, three-year term as sheriff.

Shaun Golden is a brother of Al Golden, head football coach at the University of Miami.
