Sharad Kumar Yadav is an Indian Ordnance Factory Services officer who is the Joint Secretary to the Government of India, also serving as the General Manager of Opto Electronics Ordnance Factory, Dehradun. Early Life and Education Yadav was born in Allahabad, India. He completed his graduation in mechanical engineering (1984 batch) from IIT-Roorkey before getting into IOFS in 1988. Career Yadav is a 1987 batch Indian Ordnance Factory Services officer. He was appointed to the post of Joint Secretary to the Government of India on 16 December 2015. He also serves as the General Manager, Opto Electronics Factory, Ordnance Factory Dehradun since 2018. He has earlier served as Additional General Manager, Ordnance Factory Dum Dum (Kolkata); Joint Manager, Ordnance Factory Kanpur and Joint Manager, Field Gun Factory, Kanpur. |
