Anoop Jaiswal is a 1980-batch IPS officer who served as the DGP(Elections) in Tamilnadu in 2014 Indian general election.He was appointed by the Tamilnadu government on the direction of election commission of India to manage all election related work including the state police in the state.Before this appointment he was the DGP/Chairman of the Tamil Nadu Police Housing Corporation. After the election he again was given the charge of Director General of Police/Chairman, Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board. Also he had served as state intelligence ADGP during the DMK regime. He also served in RAW. After the retirement,Jaiswal now teaches basic Physics' and 'Quantum Physics' to Class VIII and IX students across the country - for free. |
