Shahid Khorshed Memorial Library

The Shahid Khorshed Memorial Library is the library of Mirzapur Cadet College, one of the 12 cadet colleges of Bangladesh. The library is named after the martyr of the Liberation war of Bangladesh Shahid Khorshed. The main building of the library is adjacent to the auditorium of the college in the academy block. Currently there are about 18,000 books in the library. Collection The library has some fine collections regarding various areas; these include: ;Omnivous Collection of all the works of famous writers including, * Rabindranath Tagore * Kazi Nazrul Islam * Manik Bandopadhyay * Mahashyeta Devi * William Shakespeare * Syed Ali Ahsan ;Liberation War Research Corner There is a corner named Liberation War Research Corner to study about the Liberation War of Bangladesh ;Encyclopedic works The Encyclopedic collections are as follows: * Encyclopædia Britannica * Encyclopedia Americana * Encyclopædia Britannica (Macropedia) * Bangla Academy Bigyan Bishyokosh * Islami Bishyokosh (Bangladesh Islamic Foundation) * Great Books of the Western World * Banglapedia
