Dr. A.F.M. Khalid Hossain is a lecturer of Islamic History at the Omar Gani M.E.S. College, Chittagong, Bangladesh. At present he is the Editor of Monthly At Tawheed published by Al-Jamiah Al-Islamiah Patiya. Education Khalid Hossain completed BA (Hons) and MA in Islamic History and Culture from the University of Chittagong. At the same time he also completed Kamil (Hadith) under Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, Dhaka. The Phd degree has been conferred by the University of Chittagong in 2006. The title of the dissertation is The Sermons of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) - A socio-cultural study. Career * Lecturer, Islamic History & Culture, Omar Ghani Post Graduate College -- continuing. * Guest Instructor, Imam Training Academy under Islamic Foundation, Chittagong since 2002-- continuing * Participation in socio-religious programme and talk broadcast by Radio Bangladesh,Chittagong and BTV Chittagong since 2002--Continuing. * Sub divisional Correspondent of the Bangladesh Times and the Daily Sangbad stationed at Patiya, Chittagong. * Lecturer, Satkania Alia Senior Madrasah, Chittagong (1987-92) :Trainings: * Course on basic craft of Journalism under Press Institute of Bangladesh-1976 * Certificate Course on Research Methodology under Asiatic Society, Dhaka, 1986 * Course on US Society and Culture under US Cultural Center, Dhaka, 2000 Books and Essays *Allama Khalid Hossain wrote Many books and essays. :Books: *Allama Abdullah Yousuf Ali, Profile of a Versatile Scholar Khatib-i-Azam Publication, Chittagong, 2007 :Articles: About 100 articles published on Muslim World and religio-cultural affairs in the Daily Inqilab, Dhaka and five articles in Muslim World League Journal, Makkah, KSA. :Translation Works: Besides these, Allama khalid Hussain translated many books from Urdu and English into Bengali.
