Ali Paya is a contemporary Iranian translator and writer. He is a faculty member of the national research Institute for science policy (NRISP) in Iran and a Senior Research Associate and Visiting Professor at the Center for Study of Democracy, University of Westminster. He's written a number of books, including Dialogue in a Real World (2002), Analytic Philosophy: Problems and Prospects (2003), and Models of Explanation (2003). His writings have also been included, along with others, in such works as Muslim Identity in the Twenty First Century: The Challenges of Modernity (2000), Exploring Civil Society: Political and Cultural Contexts (2003), and Islam and Political Order: Muslim Reflections on Democracy, Secularism and Law (2003). A critic named Fardin Jahanbin claimed that Paya has plagiarized in several instances (in his book "Analytic Philosophy: Problems and Prospects" which was written in Persian) from "Wedberg, A. 1984. A History of Philosophy Vol,3. From Bolzano to wittgenstein. Oxford University Press". This was revealed by Naghd-e-Ketab magazine in Iran. Paya has rejected this claim.
