Abdus Sattar Ghazali, born in 1938, is a veteran journalist and writer who lives in Modesto, California. He has a Master's degree in Political Science (1966) from the Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan. He started his journalistic career as a sub-editor in the daily Bang-e-Haram, Peshawar, Pakistan in 1960. He later worked in the daily Anjam and the Tourist Weekly, Peshawar. He worked as a News Editor in the Daily News, Kuwait from 1969 to 1976. Joined the English News Department of Kuwait Television as a News Editor in 1976. He also worked as a correspondent in Kuwait for the Associated Press of Pakistan, the official news agency of Pakistan and the daily Dawn, Karachi, a leading newspaper of Pakistan. During the Iraqi occupation of Kuwait in 1990-91, he worked as an Assistant Editor in the daily Dawn. He was retired as the Editor-in-Chief of the Kuwait TV English News in 1998. Currently Mr. Ghazali is working as a freelance journalist. He has an online magazine, American Muslim Perspective, which he started in 2003.
