Spazztic Blurr

Spazztic Blurr were a joke metal band formed in 1985, in Portland, Oregon. The original lineup consisted of Tape Head Tito on vocals, Marco Sharko on guitar, Booger Bass Dave on bass and Burger King Eric on drums. They played a mix of avantgarde, hardcore punk, death metal and grindcore. For lyrics, they sang the alphabet, performed skits, or summarised TV show episodes. They had two releases, "Bedrock Blurr" and "Befo Da Awbum". The second of these albums was released on the Earache Records label with catalog number MOSH5.
Two members of Spazztic Blurr were previously, or perhaps concurrently (sources differ), members of Wehrmacht.
In 2007, the Spazztic Blurr track "Mexicali" was included on the Earache 20th anniversary compilation box set "Metal: A Headbanger's Companion".
The main Spazztic Blurr album was reviewed in the influential by Brian "Pushead" Schroeder (himself a member of Septic Death) in 1988. He described the record as "a wacky, enjoyable platter. Sort of like the ultimate thrash party album."
