Seth van Hooland

Seth van Hooland is a Professor of Information Science at the Université libre de Bruxelles specialized in metadata management.
He is the author, with Ruben Verborgh, of Linked Data for Libraries, Archives, and Museums (Facet Publishing, 2014). With Ruben Verborgh and Max De Wilde, he launched the FreeYourMetadata initiative, which aims to help cultural heritage institutions clean their metadata before publishing them in the Linked Data cloud. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Dublin Core Metadata Initiative and chair of its tools community .
In 2014, he was made Visiting Professor at the University of Washington Information School.
