Sekou Niare

Sekou Niare, born July 10, 1982 in Neuilly-Sur-Seine in France, is a French player basketball point guard.
Early life
Sekou Niare has been formed in Houilles (near from Paris) and signed his first license (1994-1995). He took a course in college Guy de Maupassant (1995-1998).
During the 1997-1998 season, the team finished the season with the best place with a record of 0 losses and he lead the team in scoring. But the team was eliminated 2nd round of the championship of France of High Schools.
Career
He's considering joining the University and to integrate the NCAA division 1 team Depaul Blue Devil University in Chicago after meeting the Head Coach Jerry Wainwright.
In 2006 thanks to his agent, Sekou is followed by Tony Barone who was the director of basketball operation and coach interim of Memphis Grizzlies during the 2006-2007 season. But in the NBA Draft 2007, the Memphis Grizzlies recruits the point guard Mike conley. The Memphis Grizzlies refuse to integrate Sekou Niare in the team because he play at the same position that Mike Conley.
Player profile
Sekou plays the point guard position and has etablished himself as a potent scorer and is also capable of playing shooting guard despite is relatively small size for a basketball player (6'0). Sekou is a versatile offensive player. He is capable of aggressively driving to the basket and also developed the ability to the basket for a layup or teardrop shot.
Philanthropy
In the field of philanthropy, Sekou decided to join a foundation hospital center of nurse for to working in the hospital at Paris (Hospital foundation Saint Joseph in France) for to help the sick and the person with life threateaning medical condition.
Other interests
Summer, on 29 August 2001 Sekou was been invited by Nike for to play a pickup game at Paris La Villette. He played in the team with Darius Miles (Los Angeles Clippers) against the team of Quentin Richardson (Los Angeles Clippers) and Sekou play very well and Quentin Richardson said "He have so much talent and skills ability, you saw the ball stick his hands". Quentin Richardson was impressed by Sekou.
