Seeds of Africa Foundation

Seeds of Africa Foundation is a publicly supported nonprofit organization that financially supports economically-disadvantaged school students in Zimbabwe with scholarships. The group's has its headquarters in New York City, and as of 2011 has tax-exempt status. The group plans to build an education center in Mutare, Zimbabwe, and to grow an endowment fund used to pay the cost of students' higher education at a university of their choice. Seeds of Africa was founded by Simba Marekera, and Martin Ganda in 2009. Currently the foundation consists of over 30 professionals in different industries deployed in several countries including Australia, England, and Germany, with direction from the Foundation's Managing Partner, Josh Ehrke. Seeds of Africa also maintains over a dozen advisors, including Rebecca Zeigler Mano, Educational Advisor to the US Embassy in Harare, Zimbabwe, and Simon Nyarota, Division Chief of National Development and Economic Research at the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe.
