Secrets of Sound

Secrets of Sound was a British record label set up by Neil Crud in Rhyl, North Wales, in 1992. Crud created the label as an outlet for his own band Sons of Selina.
The debut release was a 7" single "Anxiety" by Sons of Selina. The follow up was the band's and label's second release, a 7" called "Life Is But". This was jointly released with Delerium Records in 1993, who then signed Sons of Selina.
After releasing a compilation 7" EP in 1994, there was no official activity for eight years, until the release of two singles by Pocket Venus (whom Crud managed) "Make It Through Your Day", quickly followed by "Tell Me Why".
The label again took a long hiatus, this time for ten years, when it issued "Never Kill Yourself" by Braxton Hicks on 4 December 2012.
Secrets of Sound's catalogue numbers were prefixed 'SOS' followed by the number of the release, e.g.; SOS 001, all followed in sequence apart from Pocket Venus' "Tell Me Why" single as it was released in both CD format (SOS 005) and 7" vinyl format (SOS 705).
