Secrets for September is a new progressive influenced rock band from the South West of England who are making waves in the UK music scene. The bands début single hit no 2 in the Amazon rock chart and gained airplay on BBC Radio as well as a nomination for a south west music award in 2011. Secrets first recording was a 2 track single called 'To Behold' recorded by North and Parker and has since been re recorded. The band was formed by Matthew North in 2010 formally of the band All Living Fear and with the encouragement of his long term friend Arthur Brown turned Secrets into a full band. Brown spoke of his love of the music on BBC Radio Devon’s Vic Morgan late show on the 13th May 2011 the day after North and Brown played an impromptu set at the Exeter Picturehouse. The band have played live shows across the south of the UK inc the 02 Academy Islington and have opened for the likes of The Magic Band, Curved Air, The Groundhogs & Balaam and the Angel as well as playing several festivals over the summer. It was announced on the band's official website on the 6th Jan 2012 that vocalist O'Shea was replaced by Ellie Taylor and this meant that Secrets For September's album ‘Paint The Picture’ due to be released in the Spring has been put on hold The band's first cd 'Dub Matter What It Is' is an instrumental EP made by North and Niall Parker one track 'Anymore' has vocal samples from Julianne Regan of All About Eve that North had used in his previous band All Living Fear's 2007 album 'Fifteen years after'. Benjamin Akira Tallamy played flute on the title track.
