The Scanners Discotheque was a nightclub in Valdivia, Chile, at Geneal Lagos street. It was called the "national capital of perreo". It was also often referred as "La Chaner". It was opened in the 90's, at the river side of the city. Though the club was billed as a discothèque, meaning only recordings with no bands, the Scanners Discotheque use to be visited by several musical bands including Alejandro Silva, Chancho en Piedra, Pandemia, and . The actual DJ have a long international career, in Europe and South America, he use to focus the rhythms in sophisticated techno and reggaeton. The discotheque used to have a lot of Go-Go dancers which are known as "Las Chanas" (Chaners).
