Robert Casillas

Robert J. Casillas (born July 10, 1974) is an American businessman, writer, nightlife consultant, and nightlife/nightclub expert that serves as a nightlife/nightclub resource & educator for many national publications, tradeshows/conventions, newspapers, and media. Robert is the founder and President of the Monsoon Group of Las Vegas. Casillas serves on the Board of Advisors for both the Nightclub & Bar Magazine and the International Hospitality Week's Nightclub & Bar Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also a TOP 100 Judge rating America's top 100 nightclubs, bars and lounges.
Biography
Casillas was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona where his family settled generations after emigrating to Arizona from Spain via Mexico. Casillas served in the United States Marine Corps as a non-commissioned officer where he served with the 2nd Marine Division, Headquarters Battalion as a member of the 2nd Marine Division Honor Guard, and as an assistant to the Assistant Chief of Staff G-4 and with Commanding General James L. Jones, who later become United States National Security Advisor to President Barack Obama. During his service Casillas held a NATO Cosmic Top-Secret Clearance. While serving Casillas attended Penn State University while he cross trained/completed the prestigious programs of both the United States Army's JFK Psychological Operations Officer Course and United States Air Force's Public Affairs Officer Courses with honors.
After his term with the military Casillas started his first civilian job in the late '90s as the assistant manager for the internet sales department at Tucson, Arizona's Beaudry Motor Company. Casillas assisted in the development of the internet division for the company's seven dealership brands/tags. Leaving the company and a successful sales career in the automotive industry, Casillas shocked friends and family resigning to pursue a career in nightlife industry. Beginning full-time into the nightlife rave and electronic music event production business, Casillas later transitioned into the nightclub and bar promotion and consulting sector of nightlife business.

From his roots and beginnings in the sub-culture rave scene, Casillas soon caught the attention of mainstream corporate America. From producing and promoting one of the original Sony PlayStation tour stops, on-to major clothing and products grand opening bashes for Christian Audigier for his clothing and products, Casillas grew into the mainstream business of nightlife. Casillas has been a nightlife and hospitality industry expert, consultant, educator, writer, and professional speaker who lectures on topics such as nightclub, bar, and restaurant operations, marketing, promotions, development, VIP treatment/hospitality and many more subjects.
Casillas is an expert educator and writer for Nightclub & Bar Magazine, a publication of the Questex Media Group and Bar Business Magazine. Casillas has also been a presentation developer and expert speaker for International Hospitality Week's Nightclub & Bar Convention and Tradeshow in Las Vegas, NV., and the Nightclub & Bar Magazine East Coast Convention & Tradeshow in Atlantic City, NJ. In 2009 Casillas was the only US educator and speaker at the Centros de Consumo Expo in Mexico City, Mexico. The Expo CDC tradeshow is the largest nightclub & bar industry tradeshow in all of Latin America.
Casillas is also a renown figure and is a leading educator, contributing writer, and speaker for the adult club industry. Robert has worked with the industry's leading publication, the Exotic Dancer's Club Bulletin Magazine and has been a key expert for adult club VIP experience & profits and taught numerous education seminars and has been a renown guest speaker at the Exotic Dancer Club Owner's Convention. in Las Vegas. ED Publications is the only national business magazine serving the multi-billion dollar adult nightclub industry. Casillas also contributes to Pumps Magazine a leading adult club industry website and to Xtreme Magazine the East Coast's largest printed and circulated publication serving the adult club industry.
Casillas and his team have designed, built, and or consulted over 50 nightclubs, bars, lounges, adult club venues/business throughout the United States. He and the Monsoon Group of Las Vegas continue to provide the US nightlife industry with its three main divisions of nightlife consulting/education, Las Vegas specialty events for some of the nations largest companies and brands, and Las Vegas' largest VIP hosting company. Casillas continues to produce some of the most renown corporate events in the world for some of the largest trade conventions/expos in the world such as eBay Motors' SEMA convention party.
In 2009 Casillas was named the one of the most influential businessmen of Las Vegas and was honored in Esquire Magazines and Elliot & Company's 45 Under 45 Awards ceremony.
Personal life
Casillas has never been married and has no children. Casillas continues to live in Las Vegas, Nevada to this day.
