Savage Hypocrisy

"Savage Hypocrisy" is a term referring to the argument that hate crime laws are hypocritical and unnecessary. The argument is essentially that designating crimes against a person of another ethnicity is no worse than a crime against a person of the same ethnicity, and thus these laws—according to the argument—favor minority culture over non-minority culture, violating principles of equality.
