Wigger Slam is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal. Wigger slam shares many common elements with deathcore. Wigger slam typically employs a general lack of musical ability, consisting of the overuse of breakdowns, pig-squeal or "bree bree" vocals, and white musicians dressing like black gangsters. While often recognized as a derogatory term for deathcore, Wigger slam has recently developed as its own legitimate subgenre. The coining of the name of the genre is typically associated with Metal Inquisition. According to MetalSucks.net, "wigger slam is basically just another, less cringe-inducing name for a genre we’ve all grown to hate — deathcore — with an occasional nu-metal influence — as if this is supposed to be a good thing". Some of the few bands that attributed to the formation of Wigger slam are slamdeath bands Dying Fetus and Waking the Cadaver.
