Samurai of Legend is an online MMORPG based on text interactions. It is text-based, which means it seldom includes pictures, but there are a wide variety of options available only through reading and hyperlinks. The site incorporates the Bulletin Board Code (BBCode) and acts as a modern forum. There are two "Worlds" in Samurai of Legend. World One was created on November 13, 2006. SamuraiAdmin, the creator and admin/player of the site, continuously runs the game with other moderators and staff assistants. One may call its government a "bureaucracu", but it is with the help of other players that Samurai of Legend is successful. There is also a donator feature, which allows players to donate directly, or use PayPal. In-game items range from 0.17 U.S.D to 100 U.S.D. It is played in the theme of "Feudal Japan," and incorporates holiday events and themes, including Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Certain in-game events such as "Saving Santa Claus," "April Fools' Day," and "Trick-or-Treat" have twists and Samurai-based interactions. One such event calls for using a weapon, preferably a Samurai Sword to defeat NPCs. The game relies largely on online interactions. It is a selfless game, which means one must level from other players. The only way to succeed is to gain experience from another Samurai, by means of attacking them head-on.
History
World One was created on November 13, 2006. Samurai of Legend is a non-reset game, which means a player's life continues successively. There is no restart - rather, the only way to start as a new player is to make a new account. SamuraiAdmin and Musashi, another Admin who rarely plays, were the first two characters. Every Samurai is shown with an Identification Number, to represent their individual existence as a Samurai. There are well over 900,000 accounts. But within the late decade of 2010, there is a decrease of player activity. At it's height, there were 15,000 players active on every day. In 2008, about 10,000 active players were still on the Site. Now, in 2011, only about a fourth, or 2,500 Samurai return to World One. On August 2009, World Two was created. SamuraiAdmin added many more in-game features, such as American Technology, European Traditions/Influences, and a much more expansive Capitalist Market. As of 2011, there are about 200,000 registered accounts, with 1337 people playing actively.

Starting the Game
Once a player signs up, they are personally greeted by SamuraiAdmin himself. Constant updates, and welcomes by other players greet the newbie. Often, a new player may receive an invitation to join one's clan or "gang," referring to Feudal Japan. One may join or create their own clan, and become a Shogun or Daimyo himself. But a certain level is required to establish a clan.
The Samurai also receives Newbie Medic and Jail Kits to assist them in their arrival. The helpful way to start the game is to read the forums. There is a specific thread and tutorial for beginning players. Various Forum Moderators and high-level players assist the new player.
Donator Feature
Samurai of Legend requires a credit cart or transaction through the internet. One may use Paypal, or any number of credit cards to purchase in-game items.
$20, and $100 items are available, which are highly regarded as luxury items. Players may even purchase Gold Coins, Rice Bushels, Sake, and helpful items that make Samurai of Legend more pleasant.
