Sam Macaroni is an American filmmaker. He has directed two films, Guest House and the crime thriller Blackout. Film career Sam Macaroni moved to Los Angeles when he was 18 after booking a small role in the film Clueless. That year, a short film he made about a hard partying, disco dancing superhero was seen by MTV's president John Miller, who ordered a television pilot based on the short. Sam Macaroni wrote and directed viral videos at Maker Studios for a decade before Maker Studios was purchased by The Walt Disney Company. Macaroni's most popular viral videos were action comedies that centered around superheroes and popular feature film heroes. Sam's viral video, "Hulk at the Office" has been viewed over 30 millions times and stars Lou Ferrigno and Stan Lee. His short films featured heavy pop culture references and nostalgia. Macaroni's "Disney Star Wars" viral video got over 4 million views in the first week. Macaroni stayed at Disney for two year until he left and went on to write and direct his first feature film, Guest House. He got the idea while hunting for a home with a realtor. There was a person staying in the guest house who approached Macaroni and asked if he could still live there if Macaroni bought the house. The film was bought by Lionsgate and became one of 2020's most watched films. Guest House went on to trend as number one on Netflix later that year. Macaroni's second feature film, Blackout, is a crime thriller starring Josh Duhamel, Abbie Cornish and Nick Nolte. It was shot in New Mexico in 2020.
