Sam Alessi is a councillor and former mayor in the local government area of City of Whittlesea. Biography Allessi served three terms as Mayor of the City of Whittlesea between 1997 and 2005. He has served three terms as Chair of the Yarra Plenty Regional Library and has also served two terms as Vice President of the Municipal Association of Victoria as well as being Interim President. In 2011 Alessi received the Councillor Service Award from the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) for completing 15 years service as a Councillor. Alessi is also the recipient of the Mayor Emeritus award for Outstanding Service and a Meritorious Service to the Community Award from the Premier of Victoria Multicultural Awards for Excellence. |
