Gail Hislop is a member of the Australian Labor Party who has been a candidate for the Gold Coast-based seats of McPherson at the Australian Federal Election, 2013, and Burleigh, at the Queensland state election, 2015. Gail Hislop has experience in human resource management, with her work being predominantly in the health sector. She has worked in a union as a union industrial officer, and through her work in the health sector was nominated for a position on the board of directors at a teaching hospital. Electoral perfomances The Australian Federal Election, 2013 saw Gail Hislop stand as the candidate for the southern Gold Coast seat of McPherson. Hislop received a swing of only 2.72% against her, which was significantly lower than the swing against the Federal Labor Government at the election of 3.61%. The counting for the Queensland state election, 2015 is still ongoing. |
